An installation at the Dorchester Center for the Arts in Cambridge, Maryland up from July 31st to September 1st.

"Earth's surface is constantly changing. Rock is disintegrated and decomposed, moved to lower elevations by gravity, and carried away by water, wind, or ice. In this manner Earth's physical landscape is sculpted."

- excerpt from The Essentials of Geology

Geo Logos is a textile and sound installation created from a study of sedimentary rocks, it's textural qualities, and its relation to the practice of silkscreen printing. These rock formations are able to document time and serve as footprints of the past by collecting and recording plant matter, vegetation, fossils, and weather elements through their layered variations of texture, composition, and thickness. In a similar manner, silkscreen printing holds the hand of the artist in its cloth, recording the layering of patterns and color interactions. This sensorial installation surrounds the viewer with textiles while listening to the sounds that lead to the surface patterns.

The first video is the Facebook Live hosted on the August 8th, 2020 as part of the Second Saturday events hosted at DCA. The second video is a walk thru of the show with the sound piece overlaid so the viewer can see and hear just like if you were walking through the installation space.
